Hi @DaddyT1 and welcome to the forum. You'll find lots of great advice here; I've learned so much. Afraid I can't give you much help as I'm a bog standard T2, but there are plenty of folks who can, so fire away with any questions. There are no silly questions on here, and everyone is treated with friendliness and respect. Welcome aboard! 🙂

Give yourselves time. Apart from the practical side of things, the emotional aspects take a while to process.

You might already have it, but there’s a great book about Type 1:

Type 1 Diabetes in Children Adolescents and Young People by Ragnar Hanas

Ask any questions you want here. Nothing is too trivial.
