Hi Vikki and welcome to the forum. 🙂 I won't gloss over it as getting T1 is a shock although it sounds like your daughter is coping well. There are lots of things to take in at the start but it will soon become second nature and you can live a perfectly normal life with it. I've been to University, inter-railing across Europe, skydiving in New Zealand, been to Glastonbury several times. I go to work, eat a normal diet and have my own family now with two daughters. These are all things that people without T1 would do - it's no different. After almost 33 years with it my health is fine. Managing it can take a bit of effort but T1 is relatively rare and I always think that's because it only chooses special people. 😉🙂
