Hi
In the past I've used an Accu-check blood glucose meter, but have just acquired a Tee2+ because the test strips are so much cheaper. But I don't know whether I've set it up correctly. I'm finding when I'm about to test my blood glucose levels and switch it on I don't get a blank screen but the last blood glucose reading taken appears. Is this what should happen?

Also, on the Accu-check my blood glucose readings were lower. I've gone from having readings mainly in the five and sixes to sevens and higher with the Tee2+ which is a bit worrying.

Any thoughts.

Hi, I don't switch mine on. Get ready, then put the new strip in ready to dip into blood. It'll beep to say there's enough blood then counts down to your result and beeps again. Hope that helps.

I've never switched a meter on before testing, the strips activate it to come on when inserted

As for the difference they all have a 15% error margin and even a test a few seconds within each other from the exact same drop of blood can provide a different reading on the same meter
xx

Interesting, Christy, I'll certainly try that! Just off now to buy more low carb food!!! It's a full time job this diabetes!

Best wishes.
