Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
I’ve had type 2 for six years and was doing very well with my hba1c level down to 48 a year ago and when I had my test last week it was 73. Needless to say I was horrified but have only myself to blame for very poor eating habits .My Dr has put me on a 3 month course of course of jardiance to get everything back to normal.

Welcome to the forum @Baba

Sorry to hear your A1c has rapidly risen :(

Hope the Jardiance works well for you, and that comparing notes and sharing experiences with forum members helps you get things back on track. People’s diabetes can change over time, so it may partly be due to that, and not entirely related to your management approach.

Good that you have spotted that your menu may have drifted a little. It can be all too easy for sweet treats and additional carbs to sneak in over time. But don’t weigh yourself down with guilt and regret - what matters far more is that you have noticed, and want to do something about it. Are there any easy tweaks you can make to reduce your overall carbohydrate intake?

Thanks for your response.
easy tweaks I can make : I have been here once before about three years ago and managed to get my levels down to 43 by following the advice given in Prof Roy Taylor’s book. I lost 8kg,s in 12 weeks.
