Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
Good morning

I’m a new member and have type 2 diabetes which has been caused by taking my anti rejection meds for a transplant after 8 years.
I was started on insulin in December with a HBC1A of 116 then in March had my 3 month check and was dropped to 47 then had another check done this month August and it’s now 39 so each time my insulin is being reduced in currently now on 12 units every morning.
I’m just inducing myself and hope to be able to chat with others going through this journey
Thank you x

Hello @Wilma62 . Welcome to the forum.
Sounds like you have very good control of your diabetes.
I trust you are not having lots of hypo’s.

What insulin are you on.

I’m currently on 12 units after it was reduced this month long acting Abasaglar
I really worry about putting weight on tho

Wilma - it's what you eat that puts weight on - not injecting insulin. Otherwise every Type 1 diabetic would be like the Michelin man, wouldn't we! And most of us, are not, even after injecting it every single day for 50, 60, 70 etc years .......
