Hello Angieb

Welcome to the forum. It is a shock when diagnosed and there are many members here still trying to accept it.
You will get much support here, but not specific medical advice - that's what your diabetic team should be doing.

You've made the first step by coming aboard.

Hi Angieb2759

Welcome to the forum..you'll find great advice and support on here..by people who know exactly how you feel...Try to keep smiling

Hello Angieb and welcome.

Ask all your questions here - we are all in this together. Don't worry about asking what you think are silly questions, they are not.

Hi Angie.........newly diagnosed myself. I have embraced this disease, but still have moments of 'why me?'. The changes you will need to make, are, in the main, good for you. See it as a new way of living, and make sure all around you, know of your lifestyle change.

Others may say different, but that's my advice.

Hi Angie, welcome! 🙂 It is a bit of a shock, take your time and don't expect to to learn everything and get everything right in a day, or week, or year! this is a great place to start tho'.

have you been following a GI diet? That's what I've been told to do......must have missed the bit with chips lol

You'll find your own way. I have looked at their diet sheets, but have made my own choices. Look at the 'What did you eat today' thread, you'll get the gist of it.

Hi Angie
I have ony been on here a few days and already I have learned so much.
I don't feel alone anymore.
