Hello all,
I have recently been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. They said slow on set... I have been running at a High BG level for 3 months now since I first realised it was high, but possibly longer. They started me on levmir 5 units and I’m now taking 13 units daily in the morning. That has now been increased to 13 units in the morning and currently 6 units 12 hours after but rising daily untill my BG level is between 5-6 in the morning. I am starting Nova rapid tomorrow as been waiting for it to be prescribed, I will be taking his before my evening meal. I am currently doing my bloods 4 X daily.
I would like some advice and some answers to the questions below... please
Could they have Mis diagnosed me?
Bloods are varying with incilin very rarely have they been Lower than 8 normally 10+ 15+ And even 20+...
As soon as I eat normally food it increases but it puts it through the roof with a meal / chocolate bar
I’m 25 years old, 6 ft 3 and expected weight for my age and height.
I have no ketones when I have checked them it’s always been 0.3-0.4 unless I’ve not done it when they may have been high.
I used to get sickness, fatigue, dizziness when I did excerise.
Blurred visions and headaches
Do you think I have type 1 or possibly type 2?
Thanks in advance
