Hi and welcome

Can you tell us a bit more about what you are hoping to gain from the forum? ie What is your research field?

Welcome to the forum CNS_IVnurse

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Hello
Many thanks for the welcome!
rebrascora, thank you for the acknowledgement of this request. It is more on a consultation perspective rather than research. Basically, we are reviewing the current Insulin pumps and accessories framework specifications, and in this process, apart from Clinicians' insights we would like to seek and capture patient's voice into this as well as we build clinical criteria to better inform the specifications. I am happy for a call or visit as a start at your next meeting/forum to elaborate further on its details. Alternatively, we could create a survey monkey , if you feel this would be a good way to start ?
Again, many thanks.

Hello @CNS_IVnurse

Please be aware that any research or survey would first need to be approved by Diabetes UK, and usually requires evidence of ethics committee approval (or similar).

Please see the user guidelines for more information 🙂

Thank you for this information, much appreciated.
This is a preliminary inquiry to learn what are your requirements & points of view on the current products/services you use, what works for your best and if there is any unmet requirements ?
Again, thank you.

Can you give us any details about your group?

Thank you Eddy, of course.

The Clinical Collaboration team are group of Clinicians who are embedded into the procurement structure of the NHS supply chain. We were initially, part of the team of clinicians seconded to the Department of Health SC, as a proof of concept of the Lord Carter Report.
Our remit:
•We generate a stakeholder map for all products going through the category strategy/sourcing strategy process.
•We aim for a mix of stakeholders to provide insight across the product use – the core question asked of clinicians is ‘what do you need this product to do?’
•We seek the views of clinicians of a variety of levels and clinical areas and will include specialists and generalists within that piece.

Our aim is to provide assurance to NHS clinicians that the products they buy through NHS Supply chain have been purchased using clinical criteria.
In order to do so, we aim to engage with end users - clinicians, including patients and carers, collaborate and capture their insights for a more clinically driven and better informed procurement process.
We currently reviewing the Insulin Pumps and Accessories framework and we felt this forum would be a great platform.
Thank you.

Thanks - sounds interesting.
Can I suggest you talk with admin @everydayupsanddowns to maybe "curate" this a little. You might get more of a response if people are assured that it's a real thing. Also you'll see that pumping has its own forum section so maybe a message there could be useful.

Anyway, good luck with the project.
