Results from a phase 3 clinical study on the investigational insulin glargine indicate similar glycemic control, but with 23% fewer patients demonstrating hypoglycemia compared with a previous formulation of the drug, according to a press release.

The findings were presented at the International Diabetes Federation 2013 World Diabetes Congress in Melbourne, Australia.

Spot on! 🙂 I'd like to know how it gives fewer hypos than ordinary? Surely lantus lasts 24 hours and has a flat profile - how can this be any different? 🙄
