Hi Everyone I am not new to diabetes but with the changes in the max allowed for metformin have been put onto insulin. No problem but I intend to visit my sister, lives in Texas and want to know about the gel packs - are they any good?

Hello Jackie, welcome to the forum. I can't help as like Manuel "I know nothing" but there's lots of knowledgeable people here. 🙂

Lots of us use the Frio pouches to keep the insulin cool. You soak them for 10 minutes and they work for around 48 hours. You can then re-use them.

Cant help ref the gel packs but welcome to the forum.

Oops, sorry, forgot to put a welcome🙂🙂

Welcome Jackie. I use the Frio packs as well. They keep everything nice and cool, come in a range of sizes and colours, and are reusable. I've never had any problems with them.
