Hi everyone, this is my first post so apologies if not I’m doing it the right way.
My GP told me I was pre-diabetic after blood results. She then gave me a form where I could apply to join the NHS diabetes prevention program. I did this this morning saying my level was 48 HBA oneC. They replied to say they couldn’t help me as I wasn’t pre-diabetic but I was diabetic type two
And to contact my GP I wondered if anyone had any idea why she might not have said I was type two diabetes. I have a lot of other medical problems and we only mentioned it in a few moments when I was with her.
I contacted the Surgery to asked to have an appointment but any information would be fantastic.
Thank you very much. I have been reading up on the diabetes, of course but I’m still not that sure what the level should be two hours after eating mine is okay in the morning and usually okay before sleeping but two or three hours after eating it can be 11 or 12 or 13. I’ve changed my diet totally but I don’t think I’m doing the right thing. Thank you very much everybody wishing you a good evening. Apologies for any mistakes I’ve just had cataract surgery and typically me got bad inflammation so it’s difficult to see. I’m 76.
And thanks for any messages that are left.
