At my clinic appointment today I was a bit bored in the waiting room and flicked through September-October's balance.
Two adverts caught my eye:
1. Ultraklix 3 Lancet. A new lancet that has a ring of 'dimples' around the hole where the lancet strikes you which is supposed to help distract you're brain from feeling the pain as it's tracking the feeling of the dimples as well as the lancet instead of just the lancet. I filled in a form on their website to give it a trial.

2. A new glucose meter called Wavesense Jazz. No coding strips, large retro digits, choice of meter colours, Pre and Post meal tagging, 1865 test memory, and it does 3 day, one week and 1 month trend graphs. It also uses wireless bluetooth to communicate with PC (so no data cable) and software which automatically connects to meter and downloads readings without any mouse clicks. Sounds interesting.
