Hi everyone

In recognition of the amazing changes several forum members have achieved, we’ve made a small adjustment to the list of categories to have “In remission from Type 2” as an option for anyone who is maintaining an HbA1c at or below 48mmol/mol without needing any medication. This is the widely used definition of T2 remission, based on research such as the DIRECT trial.

We’ve also made a small change to ‘Parent’ to clarify that these are people who join in order to support their child, young person, or even more adult offspring.

If you’d like to change your ‘relationship to diabetes’ selection, you can do so in your User Control Panel, by clicking your username/avatar top right of the screen, and selecting ‘Account details’.

If I go to Account Details, then About, I have no option to make changes. Where am I going wrong?

Are you on a phone @AndBreathe ? Your screenshot looks very different to what I can see. When I click on Account Details I can see the various diabetes options, including the new ‘in remission’ one with a space beside to ‘tick’ them.

No, on a laptop - Windows 10 Pro and Chrome

That’s strange then  I’m on a tablet and just clicking my avatar top right of this page, then Account Details. If your avatar is showing Type 2, then presumably you must have ticked something to choose that when you joined? For me, it looks the same as that.

I use the forum on my Samsung phone and I can see the new options included on the account details as shown by @mashedupmatt

I think you've clicked your username in a thread @AndBreathe which brings up a panel of your activity, but not your User Control Panel?

Try using the avatar top-right, then choose Account Details?
