If you like tinned fish, get down to Aldi and buy some Riga Gold Brisling Sardines. They come in four varieties and at the moment my local Aldi is selling them for 29p. I bought one tin to try and went back yestarday and bought up virtually the whole stock. They are delicious, very small sardines, ideal on a pece of toast, a sandwich filling or straight from the tin!

I believe they are also called sprats.
They are indeed a delicious sardine.

I shall pop to my local Aldi this evening and have a look, thanks

Was this a special Edgar. Went into Aldi in Fort William & they didn’t have any

think only the larger stores sell them

I have never seen differing size Aldi stores we now have 3, and they are all similar sizes.

I have now been in four Aldi stores looking for this, as I was looking forward to finding it. One of them was quite a lot bigger than the others, but in all I could not find any tins and the staff looked at me like I was mad, when I asked them. They all denied any knowledge of them. It is a shame because I love Brisling.

A shame & the store in Fort William was large so I assumed Scotland had different stock. You’re lucky Edgar!
