Apologies if this has been posted elsewhere, but DUK are setting up a city centre support group in Bristol.

Do you live in the Bristol area?

The Diabetes UK Central Bristol Voluntary Group is encouraging people to attend its second meeting on September 25. This is a drop-in session, with participants encouraged to visit between 5.45pm and 7.15pm and aimed at people with Type 1 diabetes.

Location: Bristol County Sports Club, 40 Colston Street, Bristol, BS1 5AE

There will be access to information about how to get the best from local services for people with diabetes. The aim of the group is to allow people with diabetes to take the driving seat and feel in control of what is happening to them. They can feel more able to get the best care from local services.

I was going to. I went to the initial 'is anyone interested in a group' one before the summer and there was a good mix of T1, T2, MDI, pumps and everything in between.

Quite good not to have a 'programme' too I think. Just the chance to get together for a chat.
