New doctors, new diabetic review.

When I was first diagnosed one had to notify DVLA if one was on any meds for treating diabetes. Currently says if on tablets no need to tell them if driving a car or motor cycle.

Other classes of vehicles have different rules, as they keep updating them it pays to check the rules every now and then.

For another illness I lost my licence as soon as they had processed the forms I sent them. Then a few months later a friend had the same illness and DVLA let them keep their licence, I had to wait over a year to get mine back :(
 
It's all about as clear as fog ! It's states as you say if on tablets no need to notify the DVLA, think I will ask my car insurance for advice, the DVLA are not the easiest people to deal with as I have just found out with trying to sort my road tax out ...
 
Don't mention your vehicle tax issues when you contact DVLA about your driving licence - the Driving and Vehicle sections are completely different, and it will just give the impression you're confusing unconnected matters.

Just inform DVLA that you're taking whatever tablets, then you can tell your insurance company that you've informed DVLA, which is probably all they want to know.
