Relationship to Diabetes

When I look at recipes, which should I concentrate on,sugar or cards.. And what is classed as high sugar in sauces.
 
I mean carbs
Absolutely the number you need to concentrate on is the total carbs, just ignore the sugar as ALL carbs convert to glucose.
Sauces can be deceptive in how many carbs there can be. Making your own or use herbs and spices or dry rubs for flavour.
