Hello Artois, and welcome to the form.
Sorry to hear of your daughters diagnoses, things will get better though.

My advice would be to take one day at a time, try not to get overwelmed with things. Anything you do not understand ask. Also always involve your daughter in her care so she can make decisions as well as you. This way your daughter can learn to accept her diagnoses and move on with life.

Hi artois, welcome to the forum 🙂 There is a lot to learn but try not to become overwhelmed by it all. You may be interested in reading this:

There is also a lot of useful information in our Useful links thread, and I would particularly recommend Type 1 Diabetes in Children, Adolescents and Young People by Ragnar Hanas - a very well written guide to all things Type 1 and an extremely useful reference.

What insulin regime is she on, and how is she coping with the injections and tests? There are lots of friendly people here to help with any questions you may have so please ask if anything is confusing or confounding you - there are no 'silly' or obvious questions! 🙂
