All seems pretty sane. I would quibble with a few things. Eg: People with type 2 diabetes most likely to achieve remission include those who have overweight or obesity and those who have lived with type 2 diabetes for less than five years.

I don't think there's actually any real data supporting lower likelihood for slim T2D's to achieve remission (via weight loss). Eg: I'm one! Or better: Prelim data from the ReTUNE trial suggests no difference versus overweight/obese success rates.

Note that the statement also includes results from Virta Health keto program, for people who think that's useful & don't regard Virta as a likely fraudulent financial scam.

Finally, I didn't know that a "DiRECT-Aus" trial was happening in NSW, with recruitment under way: https://diabetesnsw.com.au/directaus/ (Given that NSW has now got huge Covid spread I imagine that will have slowed down recently).
