I fear this problem will happen more and more often. Drug companies invest heavily in R&D and then have to charge high prices to make a profit for their shareholders. The NHS can't afford to pay these prices.....so patients don't get these wonderful new treatments
There are so many people who tirelessly fundraise in the hope of treatments and maybe a cure for cancer (and diabetes and many other conditions), yet all this is for nothing if the treatments are developed but are unaffordable.....
