Hiya! The idea is, you introduce yourself on this thread ie tell us a bit about yourself and about your diabetes eg if you're newly diagnosed or what, and then start asking any questions you want to.

Hi and welcome from me too.

As mentioned above, if you can tell us a bit more about your diagnosis, it will give us an idea of where you are on the diabetes scale and enable us to give more appropriate advice.... assuming you came to the forum for advice and probably support because we all know how overwhelming the diagnosis can be.

So things like:-

When you were diagnosed and what if any symptoms you were suffering?
What if any medication you have been given for it?
What your HbA1c reading is.... that is the blood test result used to diagnose diabetes and will be 48 or more if you got a formal diagnosis. 42-47 gets you an "at risk" or "prediabetes" label.
Do you have any/much weight to lose?
Anything else you think might be relevant...

If you don't know your HbA1c result, it is helpful to ask your health care professionals (HCPS) for it as this is the starting point on your diabetes journey and will help you and your HCPs to track your progress and know if the changes to your lifestyle and/or medication are officially working.

Welcome to the forum @Lord Sugar

Ask away with any questions, and let us know how you have been getting on since your diagnosis.
