i brought a laptop off off ## 5 months go . sADly the spine bit split and started to come apart Me bing me thought i will not claim on insurance I will see what ## say about replacing it. Spoke to a very nice young man on phone and eplained bout it. told him i had been thinking about getting a better model that cost twice the price. He said what we will do as a goodwill gesture is give you a credit note for £200 {more than
original laptop cost} Then you can pay the difference if you wanna tradeup.. So im doing that Have got a far superior model and bigger. As for he old one a friend who knows how to mend this kind of thing i gonna fix it for me and im passing it on to my god son

Hi Gail, glad you got your IT sorted, but did you buy it new? as if its only 5 months old it should still be under warranty!
Obviously if it was second hand, then that may not apply.... Cheers

yes it was new and under warrity but i wanted to upgrade and when i mention that the very nice man spoke to the supevisor and the offered me a cridit note worth more than the laptop was worth new so i came away with a bargain new laptop for less than half price
