Hello and welcome to the forum.I am a female aged 69 years. average blood glucose levels r 185. Hba1c test results r 8.1 . Can I have peanuts and nuts to reduce Hba1c..pls.advise
I am from India. The forum popped in my search results. Having this condition since 2010. Am taking metformin 500 mg once a day. Am not overweight. Have sleep issues.will definitely start walking for 10 mins.Welcome @husrash 🙂 Are you non-U.K. (you’re using non-U.K. measurements)? Nuts are fine to eat but to reduce your HbA1C you need to look at your whole diet and see places where you can make improvements by reducing carbs.
How long have you had Type 2? Are you on any medication for it?
If you’re overweight, losing weight will help too, as will exercise. Even something like walking will help.
Thanks and appreciate ur helpHello and welcome to the forum.
I'm afraid there are no foods which will actively reduce blood glucose levels, and peanuts are legumes, which do contain carbs and some people find they need to be counted carefully.
There are low carb nuts, but I find they are easy to over eat.
