Welcome to the forum @PsmHi, Newbie to the forum at 64 years old. Male. I am type 1 for 53 years. On a pump for 12 years. Have had Medtronic, Roche & Tandem T Slim, current pump. Due to change at year end.
Hi. Yes started on steel syringe & heavy gauge needles at 11 years old. However, things have improved. I am unsure as to next pump. I at present am on t slim with dexcom6 and using basil iq. It has improved my control on all levels. I am pleased, as are Hospital. Have had talk with dsn re change. There are a couple of choices and maybe a complete closed system. They are in talks with medical co at this time & I would be a strong candidate. I am fully funded by my health board.Welcome to the forum @Psm
You will have had a good few ‘interesting‘ years managing your diabetes with different kit and tech.
Have you decided on your next pump? Are you looping with your T-Slim? Having done that for over two years now I would not go back. I have to self fund and I am pleased that I am able to do so, and find it worth the cost for me.
I look forward to hearing more from you.
That sounds like you are in a good position to get the loop. That would be an easy switch in your t-slim and great that you are likely to get funded. I look forward to hearing more.Hi.
