I was reading today that accu-chek testing strips now read plasma levels as opposed to whole blood, but don't recall being told this by my dsn or pharmacy. It doesn't make that much difference overall, but I believe the new strips read 11% higher than the old type, therefore when I am sitting in the low 4's I could possibly be below 4 and in hypo territory!😱 Must admit that I don't read the info that comes with the strips so maybe that is why I missed this change over.
