Doctor isnt sure if the pain in my toes and limited feeling in my feet are down to my Raynauds, Vascular disfunction or diabetes. im taking gabapentin 300, two tablets in a morning, one in an afternoon and two at night but they seem to have limited short time results. last night i awoke about 4am with someone stinking a sharpen nails in the ends of my big toes with the rest of my feet feeling hot/empty/numb/cold [choose your favourite] any suggestions, ive tried GTN sprayed on my feet, cetraben cream and im trying tea tree cream tonight.

I have feetal neuropathy - but also gout.
I presume the doctor has tested you for gout, which untreated can be really quite painful...

My boss has Raynauds and so I'm wondering if that is possibly the cause of my cold hands and (sometimes) painful feet or if it's my Diabetes. The problem is some of the symptoms are the same for both conditions so I'm not surprised your Doctor is not 100% certain which one it is. Off the shelf painkillers dont get rid of the pain (or even reduce it slightly) which makes me think it's neuropathy (I also have retinopathy so assume the 2 go hand-in-hand) and if it is neuropathy the treatment are things like pregabalin which has made my boss's memory quite bad at times so I'm keen to avoid that where possible.

What I'm trying to say is I share your pain/frustration so you're not alone! I wear compression gloves on my hand (suitable for Arthritis and Neuropathy) which (for me) get rid of any pain I'm having and warm them up.

It's a clear blue sky, the sun is shinning and we have all the windows open at work as it's so warm, yet as I'm typing this I'm wearing said gloves to keep my hands from being cold whilst the rest of my body is warm/hot!:rofl::rofl:

last night i had the 600 Gabapentin but then I had 2 sprays of GTN and lathered my feet in Tea Tree, Manuka and Neem Cream. if i give the Gabapentin a 50 % usefulness, nitrate on my feet raised it to 60%, using the cream and 2 sprays raised it to 80%. im hoping to get the same result tonight and i will let you know how i get on. it will be mid next week as we are away until Tuesday. an easy way to see if you have Raynauds is to look at your nails, mine are pink at the bottome and top and white in the middle, it like a bar across the middle.
