Hello, I hope everybody is doing fine. My mom found out she has diabetes back in January, when she got covid. She also has peripheral neuropathy. Her feet hurt so bad when she goes to bed. I don't know how to help her. If anybody has gone through or is going through the same thing please help me. I feel so bad and I can't see her suffer so much. Thank you to everyone taking their time reading or responding.

Hi lord3, welcome to the forum.

Really sorry to hear about your mum's health challenges at the moment. It's natural to feel sad when our loved ones are in pain but just you being here, asking this question and providing moral support is a massive help so please be gentle with yourself.

Hopefully those with experience will be along soon but we've also got some information on our main site re looking after your feet which may be of use https://www.diabetes.org.uk/guide-to-diabetes/complications/feet/taking-care-of-your-feet.

Just an FYI, we also have a helpline if you want to speak with someone about supporting your mum. You can reach us on 0345 123 2399 or via email on helpline@diabetes.org.uk.
