I saw an article yesterday (sorry I don't have the link) and it talked about bet carbs (carbs - fibre). It said aim for 15 - 30 net carbs a day for LCHF.

As an example a kiwi is 15g carbs per 100g and 3G fibre. So a kiwi net carbs is 12g per 100g.

Has anyone heard of this net carb business?

Was it an American article? In The UK, the nutritional info on the back of food packaging deducts the fibre from the total carb content, so the carb figure is effectively the 'net carb' . In the US, they give the carb figure as inclusive of the fibre, so you have to do some calculations to find out the actual amount of carb that you need to consider for diabetes control.

Ah yes, that makes sense. I think it might have been a U.S. Article.
