Heard this on the news on (on the way to a Dietitian apt spookily enough)

Study in Sweeden & Finland suggests there may actually be 5 different types not 2
each with a different cause & each responds better to different treatments.

it tends to support the empirical evidence I have seen in these forums (different things affect different people differently)
will be interesting to see how this progresses.

Ahh looking in the wrong place. I was surprised i hadn't seen anything 🙂

I can't say I'm that happy with it. It doesn't cover late onset T1 at middle age e.g. LADA. It assumes GAD antibodies or being younger which is a bit silly as there are many anti-body types and virus triggered antibodies still being researched and you can still become LADA in old age and it's not 'mild'. Many on the forums are in a similar category. We have a long way to go yet.
