I had my last hba1c in January 2021 and it was up to 65 for 56 the previous January.
My gp added linagliptin to my list of prescriptions and put my recall to 6 months instead of 1 year. I had the email yesterday to make an appointment for blood tests, which I've got on Thursday morning.
I'll admit that I'm nervous about the results of these ones, more so than in the past. I've struggled recently to keep my eating on track and haven't been as good as I should be.
What will be will be. I'll deal with the results when they come in and hope I can get myself back on track. But I'm scared about what will happen next.

Hi Stitch147,

Aww, sending you best wishes. It's natural to be nervous, especially if you've put a lot of work in.

I always say this but it's a journey and these numbers are just there to show you where you are on that journey and where you need to go to next.

We're here for you regardless and should the results not be what you hope, let us know if we can help in anyway to get you back on track. Good luck!

Everything crossed for you @Stitch147, best of luck x

You have managed things before @Stitch147 and you k ow what works for you.
Whatever the results you have the tools available to manage your condition, and can do this.

I hope your results are far better than you expect .

Good luck @Stitch147 I was the same mine has gone up to 64, next blood test at end of September, try not to worry, as stress will send those numbers higher.

I’m always nervous before my A1c. Whatever the outcome @Stitch147, you’ll know how to put the past behind you and tweak whatever needs tweaking. :D All the best. x
