I wonder if anyone has personal experience or suggestions regarding needle length when obese? Most of the literature I can find suggests that 4mm is sufficient for almost all body shapes. However, I am finding that my insulin might as well be water at the moment! I have been on Novorapid then Fiasp, and Tresiba for nearly 2 years without difficulty. Then my team tried stopping the insulin and started me on Metformin (?over what type of diabetic I am) and this seemed to send things haywire.

I am extremely overweight and carry a lot of weight around my waist so wondered if that might be a problem? I have tried thighs and backs of arms which are less 'fatty' (although not skinny), and it doesn't seem to have made a difference. Any thoughts or ideas would be gratefully received as I'm rather frustrated and a little confused!
