Hello lovelies , so correct me if I’m wrong when checking by the carbs on food eg frozen foods do you go by 100 mg on how many carbs or do you do it by per serving ???
Do you recommend fresh berries or frozen mixed berries ???

My father in law for some odd reason doesn’t understand how carbs work I’ve tried telling him how it works but he just doesn’t seem to get it.

He made hash browns last night while I enjoyed my low carb veggie and roast chicken meal and he said you can have some of mine and I’m like no thanks can’t eat potato and his like what , I’m like yeah check the carb in it on google and he said you don’t need to worry about it your blood sugars are normal you can have some I’m like yeah no thanks I don’t feel like spiking my sugar levels thankyou . I have done the old test when I eat potato and well it did do a slight spike other then that I don’t miss eating it to be honest , to me it isn’t worth spiking for . I prefer my cauliflower and broccoli and spinach then potato .

All in all I know how to work out carbs I just needing readvice on the frozen mixed berries to fresh ones with the carbs and if it’s even worth going to frozen , because I know it won’t be berrie season soon .

Freezing the berries doesn't alter the carb content - I usually have various berries and mixtures in the freezer, and they are useful for making jelly as they make it set very quickly.
I usually make up a sugar free jelly with extra gelatine in the minimum of hot water, then add cold water and then the frozen fruit. Ten minutes later it is set, and can be eaten with yoghurt or cream.

Ohh I mean store bought frozen berries 🙂 ?

To be honest I'm really not sure what you mean, the portion carbs are just the carbs per 100g altered to whatever the portion weigh is (if that makes sense?) so carbs per 100g say is 4.6g so if a portion was 80g carbs would be 3.68 (4.6/100x80) xx

As long as they have not had any added sugar when frozen they will be the same carbs as fresh berries. It should say on the bag how many carbs per 100g.
You can then work out how many g for the portion you are going to have.
