....and this is the scary one. Glaucoma appointment a week on Thursday (May 30th) when one of the options may be having surgery that could risk my sight:( However if that is proposed I may go against the doctor's suggestion and postpoone it for a year or two - although that in itself could lead to further irreversisble sight loss. All the signs are that the appointment won't be a smooth one but I am keeping my fingers crossed that I somehow come out of it ok. Stupid glaucoma. In the meantime I've got to stop myself from getting fed up and miserable as the appointment gets closer.

I'm hoping fr the best possible outcome for you Amanda 🙂 I'm a bit jittery about my next eye appointment, so I can only imagine how you must feel about something that is potentially so much more serious. I hope you can find plenty of distractions to keep your mind occupied before the appointment 🙂

Thanks Alan, i hope that you can find plenty to keep you distracted from your eye appointment as well🙂

Hope the appointment goes well and it's all good news. I thought glaucoma could be effectively managed with eyedrops?

I hope all goes well for you and the news is good. We often expect the worst and when we are given good news wonder why we worried...

I've been on eye drops for 14 years and had laser and other surgery for it. My glaucoma specialist has explained how it will progress so that I will need further interventions

Thanks Caroline I hope you are right🙂
