I’ve just been very naughty. For the first time in ages I’ve had
Porridge

With

A

Whole

banana
And very nice it was too.

Haha! Love the blurry bit! Good for you Ljc. As long as you enjoyed it and it was worth it, we all deserve treats occasionally. I'm gearing myself up for the first spuds since April, I'm going to have 2 roasties with my christmas dinner and I'm NOT going to feel guilty about it :D x

Nice one @Ljc hope it behaves itself for you! xx

I've just been naughty too. I desperately needed some comfort food just now as I had to help one of my old lady hens over the rainbow tonight. I always find it really difficult emotionally to cull sick birds and they have such prolonged after death spasms it rips your heart out, but I had delayed it long enough, so I pulled on my big girls pants and did the deed and then cried buckets. I am now downing gin like it is going out of fashion and have shot myself 5 units of Fiasp to cover a sweet mince pie and some chocolate and peanut butter. Not feeling guilty because I really need this comfort!

Glad you enjoyed. Since my son moved out about 6 weeks ago we no longer have them in the house, so I can't be tempted.

The company I work for offered each of us a Christmas hamper. (Anything that's a "Hamper", around £60.)

So I have the Dark Cabinet from Hotel Chocolate (which qualified on appeal (though it was close) because if you go to their website and search for "hamper" it's one of the things listed).

Anyway, it's £55 of dark chocolates, of which I'm eating about one a day, and so far they're amazing. I'm not sure I can really say why, except that they're each just perfect somehow.

Jealous of Bruce but not anyone else although we now have 2 unopened litres of Bombay Sapphire - so I might need to drink a toast to the the dear departed hen any time soon, and wish her a safe crossing over Rainbow Bridge.

OK,OK, I see it is confession time. I was so depressed with political news, never ending rain, and having to paint my study since I cannot let anyone into the house (sheilding), that I abandoned keto today and ate a whole stollen. Worse,I enjoyed every crumb and didn't even attempt to check my BG. I shall return to saintly semi-starvation tomorrow. Christmas lunch is a solo event of either herby pork and leafy greens or wild duck with ditto - no spuds or pud for me. My commiserations on the hen departure for heavenly pastures. I am fortunate in havng a kind farming neighbour who helps any of mine needing speeding over the bridge.

I am happy with my guesstimated bolus . The peak was 9 .

@rebrascora . Hugs, you sure do need the comfort food
My grandad raced pigeons and I still remember the first time I watched him cull about 20

Refuse to see food as naughty but will be indulging more over next few days, got extra insulin supplies at ready
