Today is the start of National Eating Disorders Awareness Week:

http://www.b-eat.co.uk/

As you know, some people with diabetes have the added complexity of an eating disorder coupled with a powerful but dangerous tool - insulin. Omitting insulin may result in weight loss, but it is unnatural and dangerous weight loss due to high blood sugar levels and the potential for life-threatening DKA and all the dreadful complications that uncontrolled blood sugars can bring.

People have been enormously generous in supporting me in my run on behalf of Diabetics With Eating Disorders (DWED), but if anyone can spare anything then I can assure you it will go to helping save the futures of many young people. 🙂

Please have a read through my blog and press the Justgiving link - every penny counts! 🙂

You now have a total of ?600 on your Just Giving site. Susie has been saving all of her pocket money since Christmas because she believes that this is such as important cause..........and she loves seeing the photos of the Diabetes Fairy!!!

Thank you Amanda, and Susie! When I am flagging the thoughts of your generosity will lift my spirits and carry me across the line! :D
