HAVING type-one diabetes hasn't stopped Nathaniel Bierley from being successful and striving to achieve his dreams.
The 17-year-old, of Broxtowe Estate, was diagnosed with the condition when he was five.
"I have had diabetes for as long as I can remember," he said.
He has had to inject himself regularly, whether at home or in school, meaning he has to carry his kit everywhere.
Every three to four months, he has had to attend check-up appointments.
But he put that to one side to excel in his GCSE exams last summer, picking up eight grades between A* and B.
