A DIABETIC has sent a message of thanks to two women who rushed to her aid when she collapsed in the middle of a busy shopping street.
Grandmother Josephine Patterson was shopping in Barrow town centre last Thursday afternoon when she began to feel warning signs that her blood sugar was low.
The 75-year-old became unsteady on her feet in Dalton Road as she attempted to get a chocolate bar from her handbag to boost her glucose levels.

Tut! Chocolate to treat a hypo, not the best choice - good that the ladies got her some lucozade 🙂
