I appreciate that not everyone would consider this a treat, it is more of a gentle reminder of pre Diabetes. I bought a tuna mayo sandwich (I know I could have made one but...). I ate half of it, had a coffee. It was delicious. What made it even more delicious was testing later produced a 6 .

Well I think that is a fabulous treat @Sharron1, and I'm glad you enjoyed it. Even better, excellent test result! :D

Well my recent attempt at making tuna and mayo, was an experience I do not wish to repeat. Thought the next time I had Tuna and Mayo sandwich mix from shop it was nearly as bad.

I’m drooling @Sharron1. 😛 My kind of treat.

Great result! It is a little bit of normality isn't it.... sort of a tiny break from diabetes, albeit you only ate half the sandwich, but well done!
So pleased you really enjoyed it as the odd treat I have been tempted to try just didn't do it for me anymore, but then that means it is easier to stick with the low carb way I am eating, so it is still a win. I find my morning coffee with cream is such a wonderful treat and I really savour it and I can have that every morning without concern about my BG, which makes me think life can't be so bad.... at least until I run out of cream and have to substitute with butter until I get to the shops for more cream!

Ooooh I *love* those times @Sharron1 - where you chance something, and half expect disaster but get perfection instead!

Makes up for all the times when the reverse happens 😛

That makes me feel better and not simply lazy.Thank you!

I sometimes make up a tuna, mayo, and spring onion or red onion mix and have on rice cakes for lunch. Yummy and not too carby. Easy to take in a lunch box too.
