Hi all
My previous post see below then my comment after it.
my worst fears came true when i had a postive test result for covid on the 13th October i cannot tell you how ill i have been i cannot remember much about the first two weeks, but im still not right and currently off work i work in ambulance control and not been out anywhere else so guess i caught it from there, i have had a tempreture of 39 rashes and i could not walk or get out of bed thankfully i did not need to go to hospital, i am concerned if there are any long term problems and i am still a bit weak but i am getting a bit better and my appetite is coming back, i have been really worried being type 2 diabetic but i am hopeful, i was due a eye test before corona and since having corona seems when i look at the tv seems a bit blurry with glasses on ok for reading but there not for tv so when better will have to make a eye test appointment whether it is covid related i dont know as i say i was due a eye test anyway. i am hopefully going back to work next week been off nearly five weeks now i am just hopeing im ok i hear people are dying 28 days after a positive test i am not up to 28 days yet but i have got to try and stop worrying as that wont help me will it, i am trying my best to get there and i am greatful for everyday thanks
My Question is how come diabetics are not being sheilded, Having had Covid and still recovering its not good if you get it if your diabetic, as I could not keep any medications down for a few weeks, with working in the Ambulance service and although in a control room the risk of catching it is still high i kknow this is where I have caught mine as i did not go out anywhere else, I just think being Diabetic and some other medical conditions are forgotten, why is more not being done to not only protect the extremley vulnerable but also the clinically vulnerable, when i do go back to work i will be nervouse as I dont want it again. Its not a rant its just something I have been thinking about.
Mhy theory is there are too many diabeticss so they dont want them off work not sure but I just dont know what the answer is.
thanks J
