Picked up my prescription on Tuesday, except for the Victoza as another body had nabbed it and they had to wait for more. I always check my prescription before I leave the place to make sure I have everything so I knew it wasn't there. Went back to get the stuff just now and the same lady tells me I got it already. "No I didn't said I, I checked before I left on Tuesday and you told me I could collect it today". "Well where's the slip for the outstanding item?" says she. "You told me I wouldn't need it as you'd remember me." Says madam, "I wouldn't have said something like that!" At which point one of the other assistants told her she did indeed say just that, and was heard to do it. So the old witch stomped off in a huff leaving the nice assistant to check my prescription online, confirm I hadn't had the Victoza and fetch me it out of the fridge.

If anything like that happens again I'll write to complain but, unbeknown to madam, the senior pharmacist was listening. I was at school with him far too many years ago to admit and he knows I'd never lie about something like that. I suspect he'll have a word with the miserable old unprintable. She's fairly new there and her attitude stinks.

I do like a good fit of temper, it gets my BP up nicely.

Hi Alison,

Sorry to hear about your pharmacy problems. I have got a great pharmacy in the village. If I ever run out of anything I just take the script to him he gives me half of the order and passes the script to the doctors. I then collect the balance in a couple of days. They have always been most helpful.

Sounds like she's in line for a reprimand, very unprofessional! 😱 It's a little bit like when I was given 100 strips and an IOU for 100 when it should have been for 200 - when I went back in and said it should be 200 they all seemed to know already, so I didn't get an argument. I wonder why she did it? Being too lazy to print the slip? I wonder if she's done it before?
