I really neglected my diet and ate chocolates biscuits cakes, rice potatoes and pasta and I ate too much of it all, way too much but over the last month I've cut out chocolates, biscuits and cakes completely and I'm very lucky that I have no craving for them. I've massively reduced my carb intake and I eat lots of non starchy veg, I do have small portions of 4 baby potatoes each one a good bit less than the size of a golf ball, I also have a very small portion of chips and a small portion of basmati rice I also have a few slices of Hovis nimble a week, 8g a slice.
I actually prefer my new diet/way of life much better, I'm losing weight the diabetic nurse is over the moon with me and says all my blood readings are great, I don't have a meter and at this point I don't want one as I have no interest in taking readings after each meal as I can see and feel the difference

It sounds as though you are doing very well. It’s good to hear that you are enjoying your new diet and are feeling so much better in yourself
