...have been 5.5, 5.5, 5.4, 5.3, 5.6 and 5.6! 😱 I think either my meter or my blood has got stuck! 🙂

My 7-day = 5.4
14-day = 5.7
30-day = 5.9

Out of interest how many carbs would you say you eat a day on average?
I too think your blood is stuck 😛

Ha...I wish mine today have been 8.2, 8.8, 8.3, 8.2, 7.9 and 7.8. Still to do a bedtime one...not hoping for a low one. 😱 I mean 8.2 waking and by the time I get to work before breakfast was 8.8, what's that all about? No carbs or sugar at all been very careful today because yesterday didnt seem that good either. Don't know what I am doing so wrong. My friend in Oklahoma always says I am sweet....no kidding!!! Lol :D

Cat, you really aren't doing anything wrong - these are actually pretty good for someone so recently diagnosed, and I'm sure that there are quite a few people who have been diagnosed quite a while who would actually be quite envious that you are so consistent and in single figures. That slight rise between waking and getting to work is probably just a little extra glucose released by your liver and certainly nothing to be concerned about.

I am sure that, in time your waking levels will be in the 5s and 6s and your numbers throughout your day will be correspondingly lower.

You're getting a good feel for where you are at now with these numbers which is giving you your starting point for improvements 🙂

I know Northerner and thanks so much for your encouragement, but seeing your numbers makes me thin i need to make a dent in these. Not wanting to steal your thunder I know yours are excellent. I will aspire to reach your numbers. :D

And my waking level this morning? 5.5!!!! 😱 :D

please change your status to non diabetic / carer!! Ever seen fight club when they use support groups without the actual problem!! 😛 well done.. amazing numbers. Going back to your food intake. could you give us a breakdown in a day in the life of northerers food diary?n

Pretty impressive Northie! Wonder how long you can keep it up!

Well, I'm 5.2 5 hours after breakfast 🙂

Benny, a typical day would be:

Breakfast - 1 slice Burgen S&L toast, about 12-15g. I have this every morning, don't like to have too much in my stomach if going for a run/exercising.

Lunch - usually a sandwich or a couple of boiled eggs and a couple of slices of toast and a yoghurt, around 40-45g.

Evening meal - various stuff, chilli, bolognese, curry, sweet 'n' sour, sausage and mash plus a chocolate biscuit or equivalent: around 70-90g.

I tend to nibble nuts during the evening or have sf-jelly, or cheese. No carby snacks in between meals. 🙂

Are you sure you haven't been channeling the scores from a figure skating championship?

My current scores:

7 days = 5.6
14 days = 5.9
30 days = 6.0

Cat, your numbers are good considering you've not been diagnosed long and, perhaps more importantly, they are stable. By that I mean no huge variations between highs and lows. I think you're headed in the right direction.

Very similar to mine! Great to be able to say that after all you have been through Alison 🙂

I just did a 2 hour post lunch test....5.3 mmol/l! 🙂

Just to add a reality check:

8.07 2.6 my own fault - didn't set weekend basal
8.20 5.8 Breakfast
11.02 3.2 tidying the spare room too energetically!
11.33 5.8
12.42 8.5 Lunch
14.48 3.8 I have *no idea* why

Not my best day! Any 5.x's and 6.x's you can spare you two?

:(

Sorry Mike, I'm hanging on to mine! 🙂
