Saturday
Tea sandwich [2 rounds white bread cheese egg filling] cup decaff coffee with sweetner, low fat cherry yogurt

Pulses put my levels into orbit and my digestive system seems to extract nearly twice as much glucose from them as they are supposed to contain. It costs me a lot of insulin and a lot of BG aggravation to dose for them which is a shame because I really like most of them. I am the same with porridge in that it spikes me really badly, really fast. I also don't seem to get a benefit from cooked and cooled or frozen and reheated starches, that are supposed to become resistant starches. My gut just seems to be very efficient at extracting glucose from carb rich foods.
In contrast, I find they have less impact on my BG than the carb content suggests.
However, it does not matter what affect it has on me or @rebrascora . It matters what happens to you, @beating_my_betes
.

that sandwich/yogurt did me good my BG 2 hours after eating was 7.4 perfect

Why can’t you have marmite on toast? White toast and marmite are both low fibre.

Sorry the breakfast was a disappointment. Plus point. Is your BGs look stable.

They should say why not, do you have to be on low salt for any reason?
I think Gail's already using "reduced salt" Marmite - although it's still probably only marginally less salty than The Dead Sea.

As has often been mentioned, pulses are "weird". Some people digest them fully and consume all the carbs from them. However, there are also people for whom they "pass through" and carbs are not consumed from things like lentils and chick peas.

Testing should be considered before discounting them from your diet just because someone else is a "pulse carb consumer". We are all different!

Let's stop demonising cheap meal options like lentils and put them in the "maybe pile".
Yes, it's interesting, isn't it? Pulses don't seem to affect me in terms of increasing blood sugar - whereas pasta and potatoes do.

sunday tea 2 rounds toast [30 carbs 144 cals] with marg [0carbs 36cals] yogurt [17 carbs 131 cals] Squash sugar free [0 carbs 0 cals]

Why?
The OP prefers low salt and gets low salt.
What do you think is wrong with it?
OP also prefers marmite on her toast but has been changed to marg due to needing a low fibre diet. She wants the low salt marmite, its lower salt and low fibre, so she should be able to have it but needs to talk to the people who do the food to find out why she’s not getting the marmite
