We went out for Sunday lunch this weekend and had a starter and a main course which was just what the doctor ordered.........🙂
However, the puddings there were hugely calorific and sweet - fine if you're not diabetic, but really not worth it.🙄
However, when we paid the bill, I asked the manager if they could pop a fresh fruit salad on the end of the dessert list for next time because I was watching my sugar intake etc.
She immediately said " No problem. When you book next, ask for a fresh fruit dessert with no added sugar and we'll get diabetic ice-cream in for you as well in case you fancy some of that "
I was impressed because she didn't have to do that, but she said that she HAD thought of it before, but more for Weight Watchers/Slimming World people.
But she said that a low fat/sugar alternative should be included on the menu and was going to try to implement it.
There ARE helpful people out there...............that place deserves a little award !
