So today admittedly I had a bit of a bad day but the takeaway food I ordered which was a chicken and mushroom dish doesn't ever spike my BG has no sugar etc. Elsewhere I had some strawberries, those don't really spike me. I did eat a lot of Guliyan no added sugar chocolate but again, that isn't seemingly spiking my BG.
BUT I did scoff six of those wafers: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Gullon-Sugar-Vanilla-Flavour-Biscuits/dp/B00S16CG70
It's been about an hour and a bit since I ate them and my BG is 10.9!!!!???? Is this due to the biscuits? It seems so.
But I'd been making so much progress getting my HBA1C to 37/38 and I thought maybe this meant I would be on the way to remission. Truth be told since I got back to normal HBA1C I have been eating more berries like strawberries and lot of them as well as binging on those Guliyan chocolates. I fear I'm losing my discipline and hence why despite losing a lot of weight but needing to still lose more, it's staying static. What can I do to go down further?
Should I be worried? 10.9 is way too high for a spike though no even for a normal non-diabetic?
