Quite impressed getting an appointment for the dietician already, until I saw the date 11th NOVEMBER 2018 yep 2018. Okay it could be a typo but somehow I don't think so and to be fair I am probably okay at sorting my own diet by researching and listening to the very good advice on here. All the same though over a year ahead does seem a bit crazy especially if someone was relying on that appointment for help.

I hope it’s a typo if it’s not , by that time you’ll be able to teach the dietitian lol.

Good grief! 🙄

Blimey, I hope that's a typo!!! If its not, I think they need to hire more dietitians.

I've gained lots of good tips from here to be honest. It's interesting to see what other people eat.

Going to ring up I think just to make sure its not a typo will let you know what they say

just rang the surgery yes it was a typo the appointment was for 9th November 2017 but unfortunately I cant go because I am away so they sad to ring mid December and book for January . Good job I rang as that appointment would have been totally wasted if I had just not turned up. they only have a clinic every so often fair enough.

Phew, good job you checked up.

Definitely a good job! Hopefully that means you won't have to wait long for the next one.

The first dietician I went to was very supportive of my need to keep my carbs low because of my type 2 DB and put weight on because I am under weight I just had one appointment with her The next time I went was a different one who sacked me !!! I don't think she knew how to help underweight diabetics I learned from forums such as this one how to D I Y
CAROL

yes Carol I do get the impression it can be hit and miss I will go with an open mind but thought as DSN said she was referring me I ought to go and hear what they have to say .

I had an appointment letter saying 2018 as well recently. Must be something in the water.
