Feeling very proud of my 90 year old Mum!
Her last annual review showed a BS result of 46 and she was told she was prediabetic (previously 42) and given suggestions on how she may make little changes.
The diabetes nurse wanted to review in 3 months and from the way she spoke I think the assumption was that her results would continue to rise and it was age related (no diabetes in the family at all).
Well Mum admitted she ate far too many sweets and cake and I know she has cut down considerably. She still has a couple of biscuits a day and is quite happy on her new lifestyle.
We have just had the results of her latest review and the results are normal with a BS result of 38 🙂
Way to go Mum, it just goes to show you're never too old to make changes!
