come the 1st March my T1D will be 43 years old and pretty well controlled however over the last year I have had symptoms of another autoimmune disorder called Sjögren’s syndrome. It appears when I experience flare ups I want to eat rubbish.
is anyone else struggling with multiple autoimmune syndrome? Apparently vitiligo is an autoimmune disorder too.

I have type 2, Hypothyroidism and Vitiligo.

I've lost count as to how many autoimmune conditions I have 🙂 They don't bother me so life goes on as normal 🙂

I also have vitiligo, mostly on my hands. I have photos, some from as far back as 1970, where you can see patches on my face but they aren't there any more, which is strange as I thought it was irreversible.

Apparently ointments and corticosteroids can restore pigmentation. It doesnt bother me a lot as on my hands (knuckles and inside wrists) and mainly shows up when i get a tan. I think mine has improved a little lately. Light therapy can help restore pigment too.
