Well that's good, I mean that.

BUT I see Call Me Dave wants to tackle the causes of diabetes. How on earth is he gonna prevent genetics? - or my or your T cells killing off our Betas?

I'm particularly intrigued to find that out !!!

Wouldn't surprise me in the least...

I was watching Prime Monster's Question Time in the Commons
last Thursday, and when asked about better treatment for us
Diabetics, Call me 'Dave' reverted to Tory type and trotted-out
the neo-Con spin about us all supposedly being 'obese', again! 😛

Well let me tell you this, oh, son of Thatcher, I'll put my physique
up against yours any day, and we'll see out of the two of us who's
the most obese, shan't we...😎 Maybe in a couple of years,
when your own pancreas has packed-up making insulin like mine
did a while back, you'll stop trying to bail-out the bankers (who keep
the Tory party in champagne with their party funding) on the backs
of NHS patients!!! 😉

And a Happy New Year to you, too, Mr. Cameron
NHS safe in your hands... hmmmmmmmm... no, but the City is!

I don't think that is fair.

David cameron isn't a doctor he will be fed the same mis-information about obesity and diabetes as everybody else including the previous goverment, we here have been tryin to put some of that right and do all we can to ensure people get the right information.

However petty name calling like in your post does not help people take us seriously.


And has been said before (I will repeat for you) labours last manifesto had all yes ALL the NHS reforms that the coalition have announced, of course they can't say it's Labours any more than Labour can own upto it.

I've always been impressed by Adrian Sanders, he seems to be the mainstay of pushing for things for people with diabetes over the years. He really knows all about it too, since he has had Type 1 since 1990.

I have only recently heard of him, but I am quite impressed aswell.
 
No-one can change genetics, but a genetic predisposition to develop a condition is just that - to actually develop the condition requires both the pre-existing genetic predisposition PLUS the behaviour and / or environment to create the conditions. Some policies CAN help eg making it easier / cheaper etc to walk or cycle instead of drive short distances, to choose healthy foods etc, but only if people choose to take these options.

That makes sense Adrian having diabetes and being a passionate campaigner for diabetes.

It's only by living with a condition do you fully appreciate what it's like, we should get him to join here😉
