A Sheffield MP has labelled NHS England a ‘complete shambles’ over its handling of the potential closure of a city doctor’s surgery.
Clive Betts has said he is angry at the confusion over the future of the Westfield Health Centre, which may be shutting its doors when its sole GP, Dr Gurcharan Singh Chadha, retires at the end of this month.
He said local primary care providers were given just two days last week to put in expressions of interest for taking over the centre, which has 1,800 patients.
